Even though Obama was elected 44th president of a nation that is in war with 2 countries and looming threats from Iran and Russia and a global economy meltdown never seen since the 1929 recession. Still we can say "Yes He Did" and "Yes He Can". In a country where less than 50 years ago, people were not allowed to vote based on their skin color, a skinny black guy with a name as "Barack Hussein Obama" came from nowhere and said "in the face of impossible odds, people who love their country can change it" and he was right.
This quote said it all, we are in the face of impossible odds in our country, in Tunisia and if we really love this country, we can change it. Our fathers and grandfathers changed it and got rid of an occupier. Still our generation and our kids generation seem to be taught not to dare to think about change and it is working.
When are we going to believe in ourselves? and when are going to show that we love this country, not by posting notes like this one but by trying to change it! The longer we wait, the higher the price is going to be.
Are we going to believe that we also can? that YES WE CAN ?
"By ourselves, this change will not happen. Divided, we are bound to fail"
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. "
The last Obama quote, I want to use here is about religion:
"Because when we ignore the debate about what it means to be a good Christian or Muslim or Jew; when we discuss religion only in the negative sense of where or how it should not be practiced, rather than in the positive sense of what it tells us about our obligations towards one another; when we shy away from religious venues and religious broadcasts because we assume that we will be unwelcome - others will fill the vacuum, those with the most insular views of faith, or those who cynically use religion to justify partisan ends"
